A little bit about us

Hello! My name is Catherine Embleton, founder and creator of The Art Imaginarium, which held its very first holiday camp during the May half-term in 2019.

I have had a varied and diverse career, but art is something I have always come back to and have always loved. My creative journey was strongly influenced by my BA (Hons) Degree in Theatre Design from the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama, where I also discovered my passion for both art and circus.

I have many years of experience delivering art workshops for children, hosting birthday parties, and facilitating creative craft activities. I felt that combining art with circus would create a unique and exciting experience for children. After witnessing how creativity has become increasingly restricted within mainstream education over the years, I wanted to create a holiday camp focused entirely on arts and crafts, play, fun, and imagination. I truly believe that creativity is an essential part of every child's healthy development.

My vision for The Art Imaginarium was to create fun, diverse, engaging, and inspiring activities where children can learn new skills, develop their creativity, build confidence, make new friends, and, most importantly, have fun in a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment.
